The latest model of Ford Escape is now at our dealership for drivers across the Newtown, Churchville, and Woodside area to check out, and this small crossover SUV has shown up with some exciting new updates.

Between a hybrid powertrain and unique features like traffic sign recognition as well as high-end active intelligent safety features, it offers a refined, smooth ride that's positively feature-packed. If you're interested in knowing more about how the various features are divided up, check out this review of the Ford Escape trim levels by Fred Beans Ford of Newtown.

Ford Escape Trim Levels

The Ford Escape comes in four different trim levels. They are as follows:

  • S
  • SE
  • SEL
  • Titanium

Most Ford Escape models are powered by a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine that gives you 181 horsepower with 190 lb-ft for torque and is mated to an eight-speed automatic. Next up is the available 2.5-liter inline-four hybrid that gives 200 horsepower and goes with a CVT. From there, you can kick up to an available 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four that gives you 250 horsepower, 280 lb-ft of torque, and a 3,500-pound towing capacity when properly equipped.

S Trim Level Features

At the base S-trim, you get functional entry-level features like:

  • 17-inch steel wheels
  • Sound system with six speakers
  • 4.2-inch instrument cluster
  • FordPass Connect™

You also get the Ford Co-Pilot360™ safety suite with BLIS®, Lane-Keeping System, and Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking.

SE Trim Level

The SE trim gives you a number of additional technology features:

  • SYNC® 3
  •  8-inch touchscreen
  • Satellite radio
  • Dual USB ports in the back seat
  • Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™

In addition, you enjoy even more safety assistance add-ons here and you can get the available Co-Pilot360 Assist+ package that gives you Adaptive Cruise Control, Speed Sign Recognition, Lane Centering, Evasive Steering, and a voice-activated navigation. You can also add features like an available cold-weather package with heated front seats and steering wheel as well as remote start to get the cabin warmed up before you walk outside to your car.

SEL Trim Level

At the SEL Trim, you get the Cold Weather and Convenience packages separately, so your seats, steering wheel, and mirrors are heated, and your accessories, liftgate, and seat are fully powered. You also get bigger 18-inch wheels, rear parking sensors, and imitation leather seating. Packages you can add on at this level include an available tech package that gives you:

  • 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster
  • Premium B&O sound system
  • Driver memory settings plus
  • Wireless charging

Titanium Trim

At the Titanium trim level, you get pretty much everything above plus ambient interior lights, auto-dim mirrors, power passenger seat, front parking sensors, and Active Park Assist 2.0. It also comes standard with the Touchscreen Navigation System, which includes:

  • Voice-activated capabilities
  • Pinch-to-zoom capability
  • SiriusXM® Traffic with Travel Link®

Available add-ons at this level are mostly appearance-based and comfort-based.
