As the cities of the world get bigger, so do the complexity of the highways that run through them. Even as these highways are able to handle more vehicles, they seem not to be able to handle the volume of the cars and trucks that are traveling the roads on a yearly basis.

This is where safe driving on these heavily trafficked roads comes in. There are some things you can do to stay safer:

1. Keep your distance from other drivers in front of you. If you get too close, then your reaction and stopping time will greatly decrease. About 4 seconds distance is plenty.

2. Always use your turn signals when you're changing lanes. Let others know what your intentions are so they're not surprised.

3. Drive defensively. Believe that the other drivers on the road will make a mistake.

By applying these tips and more, you will enjoy your driving experience more.
