The award was not only because of the auto manufacturer’s long history of reliability and trustworthiness, but because an impressive amount of materials in its vehicles can be reused, recycled and recovered. In fact, 95 percent of materials, an impressive number, don’t you think? In the Ford F-150, for example, the seat fabric is made from 100 percent recycled water bottles. This one material means that more than 5 million plastic bottles are kept out of the landfill in a single year.
